Choosing your FOMO

There’s always something that we’re going to miss out on. FOMO affects everyone, no matter how rich or famous or outgoing. FOMO can only be controlled, not eliminated. It’s funny how FOMO works though. You miss things that you don’t even care about. That new job your friend got excites…

Chess and Me

I started playing chess when I was around 7–8 years old. Well, technically I did not really play chess. I had a chessboard, on which I and my friends played with made-up rules ( We thought the pawn could move like the Queen). …

Why I failed as a leader?

The year was 2018. It was around Feb that I took over the reins of my college club. I was excited, stressed and terrified of the responsibility I had. Unlike a normal college club, this club was quite new and had no active senior members other than me. I led…

Ideas for heyday#2

An app that changes wallpaper according to your mood. It can have a drop-down list of moods to be selected by the user. A ceiling which can give you night sky’s view using a screen. ACs which can produce petrichor. A pen that doesn’t work until its cap is fitted to the pen’s back so as to not misplace the pen cap. A mirror-like device that rates you how good you are looking a particular dress.

Ideas for heyday #1

A radio station with no ads! Earns revenue only through movie promotions. A material that makes it impossible for spiders to make webs on it. An anonymous chat box on Facebook. You would be able to chat with someone from your friend’s list but identities would remain hidden. A diary which reminds you to write everyday events in it. A fragrance detector. A device which can tell you which perfume/deodorant is used by someone from its smell.
